Biography for Pastor James Dunn

I was saved in July of 1975 at Cleveland Baptist Church. http://clevelandbaptist.org Where I attended Heritage Christian School. During High School I knew God was calling me to preach but that was not what I wanted to do with my life. Instead of following the leading of the Holy Spirit, I rebelled and joined the Army instead of going to Bible College. I was married just before leaving for boot camp to my highschool sweetheart, Sue. She truly has been the love of my life as well as the greatest encourager a man could have. After getting out of the Army I still knew what God wanted but I would not submit. Life was getting busy now with my oldest son James being born, buying mt first house etc… I had a great job making good money and then it happened, conviction. I was going to church trying to sooth my conscience when God got a hold of my heart. I redicated my life to Him and found He was still waiting for me to follow Him. To be honest I was hoping He had changed his mind about me but for some reason He hadn’t. I went to my wife, Sue and told her I knew God wanted me to be a preacher and I needed to go to Bible College to prepare. Sue looked at me and said,”It’s about time !” My life has never been the same.

I attended Bible College at Heritage Baptist Institute http://clevelandbaptist.org/hbi.html Upon Graduation in Dec. of 1998 I planted Lighthouse Baptist Church in Cleveland Ohio. Planting a church is always a lot of work and this was no exception.

I had been a Bi-vocational Pastor for 11 years when God spoke to me regarding the ministry, Healthy Christians. I knew right then that God wanted me to no longer  spend my time working outside of His ministry but wanted me to trust Him more for my everyday needs. So by faith this ministry has begun with a purpose of teaching and preaching God’s word regarding our health.  I am still the Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church www.MyLBC.info and together we hope the ministry of Healthy Christians touches many Lives for Jesus Christ.
